Tauria is a world of vast untamed steppes stretching endlessly under sweeping skies. Earth-rich and primal, its wild grasslands, mineral-rich hills, and ancient stone formations speak of a planet steeped in deep time. The Taurus tribe has carved a civilization of endurance and strength from this rugged landscape, drawing power from the very ground beneath their feet.
The Great Steppe dominates Tauria's landscape — an ocean of grass that ripples in the wind like a living thing. The Crystal Hills rise from the plains, their slopes embedded with volatile energy crystals that hum with latent power. Scattered across the steppe stand the Ancient Pillars — towering stone formations of unknown origin, etched with symbols no living scholar has fully deciphered. The land is harsh but generous, rewarding those who treat it with respect and punishing those who take more than their share.
Alcyone was built with terrakinesis — the earth itself shaped and raised into walls, towers, and halls that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. From a distance, the city appears to be a natural extension of the hills, its stone structures rising like ancient formations. At its heart stands the Temple of Endurance, constructed from the hull of the ship that carried the Taurus tribe to this world. The fauna of Tauria is as tenacious as the land itself — Vargor are predatory steppe creatures that hunt in packs across the grasslands, Iron Bison roam in vast herds with hides tough as armour, and Windrunner Hawks patrol the skies with wingspans that cast shadows like passing clouds.
The Taurus tribe holds the earth in deep reverence, believing that the ground beneath their feet is a living entity that sustains and protects them. Stonecraft is their highest art — the shaping of earth and mineral into structures, tools, and works of beauty. The Harvest of Stones is the tribe's greatest festival, a time when energy crystals are gathered from the Crystal Hills in a ritual of gratitude and renewal, accompanied by feasts, contests of strength, and the sharing of ancient stories.
