Echo Reed

Tall pale reeds growing along rivers and lake margins. Each mature stem contains two separate hollow chambers. Wind passing through a large stand produces two distinct notes, one low and one high.

The Gemini eventually use dried Echo Reeds for pipes, whistles and resonant parts in larger wind instruments.
